Summary:EN-31 Steel is widely used in today’s industries due to its good strength and wear resistance in high-temperature conditions. Machining of EN-31 Steel is challenging due to its high strength and toughness. Under conventional machining methods, the turning process would be efficiently used for the economically machining of EN-31 Steel. Although, there is a research gap in facts in the turning process of EN-31 steel. Hence the study was aimed to explore the optimized machining parameters of EN-31 Steel under different turning conditions. L18 is used as DOE and ANOVA to optimize input machining parameters cutting speed, feed, depth of cut, coolant, and a cutting tool to get MRR as a response parameter in this research work. The selected level for cutting speed, feed, depth of cut, and types of coolant are three and for the cutting tool is two levels. Results indicate that the depth of cut is the most dominating factor for MRR.
