Summary: | Refractory products traditionally used as structural elements or lining materials in electrolyzers, chlorinators and other magnesium production units do not provide sufficient performance. The most promising as a replacement for traditional materials are cast mica-crystalline refractory materials. However, their introduction into production is complicated by the need for expensive raw materials for their manufacture; the search for alternative raw materials is relevant. Studies show that a natural component, gabbrodolerite, with the addition of potassium fluoride in the amount of 100–200 thousandths of the total mass of the charge mixture can be used as a raw material for producing cast mica-crystalline materials intended to work as a lining of electrolyzers. |
