Summary:Adnet et al [4] proposed an intubation difficulty scale that included laryngoscopy view with Comarck-Lehane grade. Because difficult intubation depends on the operator expertise, knowledge, and assessment to airway devices and different airway techniques, in our opinion, difficult intubation is a less objective end point in clinical investigation. [...]as stated in our manuscript, we would like to point out that one caveat of our study is that all the data were collected in the same hospital. [...]we agree with Xue et al that future research should aim at validating these results and quantifying how reproducible they are using data collected by different practitioners across different populations of patients.
