One pot synthesis of porous Fe2O3―Al2O3 nanocomposites and their application in water treatment
One pot synthesis of Fe2O3-Al2O3 nanocomposites was investigated for using in water treatment. X-ray diffraction (XRD) characterization shows that the sample is a-Fe2O3 and I[sup3-Al2O3 mixed phases material. Summary: | One pot synthesis of Fe2O3-Al2O3 nanocomposites was investigated for using in water treatment. X-ray diffraction (XRD) characterization shows that the sample is a-Fe2O3 and I[sup3-Al2O3 mixed phases material. The porous structure of Fe2O3-Al2O3 nanocomposites can be confirmed by N2-sorption isotherms. The specific surface area determined by BET surface area measurement was found to be 102.1m2 ga1. Moreover, the porous Fe2O3-Al2O3 nanocomposites samples showed an excellent ability to remove heavy metal ion (Cr (VI)) in water treatment. |
