Summary: | In addition to 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid and (—)-epicatechin, the 5-
O-β-
d-xyloside (
1) of the latter has been isolated from the stem bark of
Brosimopsis acutifolium.
In addition to 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid and (−)-epicatechin, a new glycoside of the latter has been isolated from the methanolic extract of the stem bark of
Brosimopsis acutifolium. Its structure was established to be (−)-epicatechin 5-
O-β-
d-xylopyranoside on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical methods. |
