Summary:The damping effect in the motion of two bodies is investigated in the frame of the general theory of relativity. The solution for the field is chosen to approximate an outgoing wave at infinity. The components of the field are evaluated in the required orders of approximation by the EIH method. It is found that gravitational energy radiated from the system is equal to its damping energy loss. The numerical value for the radiated energy agrees with the result predicted by the linearized theory.
