Synthesis and Biological Activity of Aminophosphabetaines with Long-chain Substitutes at the Nitrogen Atom

Aminophosphabetaines containing higher alkyl substituents at the nitrogen atom were synthesized by a three-stage procedure. The structure of the products was proved by IR and NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and X-ray diffraction analysis. All the synthesized compounds showed moderate antimicrob...

Summary:Aminophosphabetaines containing higher alkyl substituents at the nitrogen atom were synthesized by a three-stage procedure. The structure of the products was proved by IR and NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and X-ray diffraction analysis. All the synthesized compounds showed moderate antimicrobial activity against B. cereus and S. aureus bacterial strains, as well as Candida albicans fungi.
