Summary:Chinese medicine originated in China and has taken root all over the world. In the United States, Chinese medicine belongs to the category of complementary and alternative medicine and has a history of over 50 years as a recognized profession. The education of Chinese medicine is undoubtedly the foundation for the development and growth of Chinese medicine practice. In this article, we briefly introduced the history of acupuncture profession and its development in the United States. Pacific College of Health and Science New York and Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine were discussed and analyzed. This article aims to discuss two examples of acupuncture schools in the United States to provide an overview of the history and current development of Chinese medicine education in the United States.
