Summary:This paper presents the results of a kinetic study aimed at obtaining data on the contributions of homogeneous and heterogeneous mechanisms of catalysis in the Suzuki–Miyaura reaction using low-reactive aryl chlorides as substrates in the absence of additives of strong organic ligands. The patterns of the change in the reaction rate, as well as the turnover frequency and turnover numbers of the catalyst when varying the nature and concentration of the palladium precursor indicate the occurrence of catalysis in a solution with the participation of truly dissolved homogeneous forms of palladium.
