Synthesis and spectroscopic properties of a new 4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene (BODIPY (R)) dye
The constrained dye 3 was prepared and shown to have a sharper, red-shifted, and more intense fluorescence emission than the 4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene (BODIPY (R)) dye 2 in which the aryl groups can rotate freely.
