Summary:In the twenty-first century, the issue of CO 2 reduction is growing in all industrial fields due to rapid climate change. In the maritime shipping sector, research on eco-friendly hydrogen ships using hydrogen fuel cells is also actively underway. Hydrogen fuel cells combine hydrogen and oxygen to create electricity and water, which also generates high heat. Therefore, a lot of effort must be put into heat management to control this heat. There are various thermal management components, but the core component is the fan motor to cool the radiator. Fan motors have various required performances. The fan motor must have high durability in a small size and must also have low cogging torque for quick response. This paper aim to model several Pole–Slot combinations and compare their characteristics to find an appropriate Pole–Slot combination that can satisfy the requirements of the fan motor.
