Summary:Layered complexes of copper(II) with benzene-1,2,4,5-tetracarboxylic acid has been prepared for the first time. The data of elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, IR spectroscopy, and differential thermal analysis have confirmed the purity of the complex compound. Its chemical composition has been elucidated, and thermal decomposition has been studied. The prepared complex contained no water molecules, and the polymeric layered structure has been retained.
