Approbation of the Russian Version of the Impulsive Behavior Scale (UPPS-P)

This article presents the results of the adaptation of the popular scale of impulsive behavior UUPS-P, focused on the study of this phenomenon. Further on, it was translated into Russian and then adapted to the Russian-language sample. The study involved 324 people, aged 16 to 52 years. Of these, 213 are female, including 70 young women with non-suicidal self-harming behavior and 111 are male, including 46 people who are patients of a drug treatment hospital. In general was 160 people. The results obtained during the adaptation of the scale allow us to conclude that the structure of the scale obtained as a result of the adaptation fully corresponds to the structural components of the basic questionnaire. Checking the UUPS-P scale according to the main psychometric indicators allows us to conclude that it is possible to use the Russian-language version of this diagnostic tool to assess impulsivity as a personality trait. В статье представлены результаты адаптации популярной шкалы импульсивного поведения UUPS-P, ориентированной на изучение одноименного феномена среди различных групп с отклоняющимся и нормативным поведением. В настоящем исследовании краткая версия UUPS-P переведена на русский язык и прошла адаптацию на русскоязычной выборке. В исследовании приняли участие 324 человека, в возрасте от 16 до 52 лет. Из них 213 человек — женщины, в том числе 70 — с отклоняющимся поведением, и 111 — мужчины, в том числе 46 человек — пациенты наркологической больницы. Нормативная выборка составила 160 человек. В ходе исследования был сделан вывод о том, что факторная и кластерная организации утверждений опросника, выделенных в результате адаптации, соответствуют структурным составляющим базового опросника. Проверка шкалы UUPS-P по основным психометрическим показателям позволяет сделать вывод о возможности использования русскоязычного варианта данного средства диагностики для оценки импульсивности как свойства личности
