Summary:A case of synchronous double cancer including seven multiple colorectal cancers and a primary jejunal cancer is described. An 83-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of abdominal distention and pain. Computed tomogram of the abdomen showed wall thickness of the left transverse colon and dilatation of the right sided colon. Colonoscopy showed an advanced cancer of the transverse colon causing intestinal obstruction and an early rectal cancer. The surgical findings also revealed a jejunal tumor located about 30cm distal to the ligament of Treitz. Extended right hemicolectomy, anterior resection and partial resection of the jejunum were performed. Histological examination showed well and moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the jejunum, two advanced colon cancers, four early colon cancers and an early rectal cancer. The patient's clinical course was satisfactory and he was discharged on the 2th postoperative day.
