Can the JPC = 1 ++ mesons form an ideal nonet?
In the framework of asymptotic SU(3) and the chiral SU(3) ⊗ SU(3) charge algebra, it is argued that the 1 ++ mesons can form an (almost) ideal nonet along with the 1 -- mesons. Experimental implications are also discussed.
