Summary: | The strain was isolated from the activated sludge of a municipal wastewater treatment plant and was able to degrade 1 mg of 4-(1-ethyl-1,4- dimethylpentyl)phenol mL-1 in minimal medium within 1 week. The biodegradation potential of 3-(14)C,1H,1H,2H,2Hperfluorodecanol by diluted activated sludge from a domestic wastewater treatment plant under aerobic conditions was examined (Wang et al., 2005e). (2005) examined the reductive transformation of the 10 mostwidely distributed fluorinated volatile compounds and of tetrachloroethene (PCE) under anaerobic conditions in sewage sludge and aquifer sediment slurries. |
