Summary:In the past, any surgical procedures of infants and young children was completed under general anesthesia, after obtaining a medical clearance for hospital admission thus consuming lot of time which potentially introduce the child to a greater risk during general anesthesia. Traditionally methods of using scalpels or electro surgery may produce significant post- operative discomfort, requiring sutures -prolonged wound healing.
