Dr. Fein's plea in the July 24 issue for participation from all citizens is praiseworthy, and I heartily agree with him. However, how do we go about coordinating the efforts of citizens in improving our health-care system? In our community, a group of concerned physicians has organized to protest the mandates of the local health-systems agency; we are in the midst of a "we vs. they" conflict. How do we change the context of this situation? How do we create the "other dialogue" to which Dr. Fein refers in his article?
