Summary:Polyethylene glycol acrylate-grfat-Cellulose-acrylate (PEGA-g-CEA) has been synthesized as side-chain-type solid-solid phase change materials for thermal energy storange through graft copolymerization. The composition and structure of the grafts and cellulose, phase transition properties and morphology of grafts were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), differential scaanning calorimentry (DSC) and optical microscopy. The results show that the polyethylene glycol (PEG) successfully grafted onto the cellulose macromolecule, and the solid-solid phase change materials with a certain phase transformation ability were obtained through this experiment.
