Increase in C3 plant water-use efficiency and biomass over Glacial to present C02 concentrations

The direct effects of increasing atmospheric concentrations of CO2 on the metabolism of plants were investigated in a study. Data show that elevated CO2 leads to increased efficiency of water use and increased carbon storage in plants, with possible consequences for climatic change.
