Summary:An algorithm for frequency offset estimation and symbol timing based on correlation matrix was given to reduce ISI and ICI of OFDM system. The algorithm got the fractional frequency offset by minimizing the off-diagonal elements and got the integral frequency offset by sizing the diagonal elements. The estimation of symbol timing based on maximized the function by sliding the FFT window. Simulation results show that the algorithm has high estimate precision and large range.
