Summary:Life-threatening intractable uterine bleeding is difficult to treat when concurrent medical complications contraindicate invasive surgery. We present a case of heavy uterine bleeding in a postmenopausal woman that was complicated by liver cirrhosis and morbid obesity. The bleeding was successfully halted through emergency endometrial ablation after failure of uterine artery embolization.
