Dielectric Properties of Mixed BaTiO3–SrTiO3 Nanocomposites

The dielectric properties of mixed (1 – x )BaTiO 3 – x SrTiO 3 nanocomposites ( x = 0.0; 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.00), obtained by sintering their initial components for 5 h at a temperature of 1273 K, are studied in the 100–500 K range of temperatures. X-ray analysis performed at room temperature sh...

Summary:The dielectric properties of mixed (1 – x )BaTiO 3 – x SrTiO 3 nanocomposites ( x = 0.0; 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.00), obtained by sintering their initial components for 5 h at a temperature of 1273 K, are studied in the 100–500 K range of temperatures. X-ray analysis performed at room temperature shows the composites are formed by BaTiO 3 ( P 4 mm ) and SrTiO 3 ( Pm– 3 m ) crystallites and contain no Ba (1 – x ) Sr x TiO 3 solid solutions. A drop in the temperatures of Amm 2 → P 4 mm → Pm –3 m phase transitions is recorded in barium titanate particles upon raising the concentration of SrTiO 3 in the composite.
