Optical properties and structures of PbS films obtained via pyrolisis of thiourea complexes

Results from studying PbS films obtained via pyrolysis of aerosol from solutions of coordination compounds [Pb(N 2 H 4 CS) 2 (CH 3 COO) 2 ] are presented. The crystal structure of the films is studied. The bandgap of the films, determined from the edge of intrinsic optical absorption, is 0.44–0.51 e...

Summary:Results from studying PbS films obtained via pyrolysis of aerosol from solutions of coordination compounds [Pb(N 2 H 4 CS) 2 (CH 3 COO) 2 ] are presented. The crystal structure of the films is studied. The bandgap of the films, determined from the edge of intrinsic optical absorption, is 0.44–0.51 eV. As the concentration of thiourea rises, the crystallites grow in size and the bandgap shrinks.
