Summary:The implementation of a feedback controller for a voltage source inverter for obtaining constant-amplitude, constant-frequency supply from an integrated wind - photovoltaic system has been presented in this paper. The complete model of the system is developed. The steady-state analysis of the wind-generator has been carried out and the critical wind-speed above which the wind-generator will supply the load has been determined. The various operating modes of the hybrid scheme have been identified from the analysis. The contribution of power from both the sources under varying environmental conditions has also been identified from the analysis. The inherent balance of power between the sources in the absence of battery bank is demonstrated through simulation. Experimental waveforms obtained from a laboratory test-rig of the scheme are also presented.
