Summary:This article presents a review of current techniques used for assessment of malingering in traumatic brain injury litigation. These techniques include tests that have the sole purpose of detecting malingering, tests of cognitive and emotional functioning that contain validity profiles, and evaluations of behavioral and historical consistency with true brain injury. How these techniques should be integrated to achieve convergent validity is also discussed.
