Expression of Cilia Structural Genes is Downregulated in Asthma and Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in These Genes Correlate with Asthma

The levels of DNAH5, KIFC2 and KIF3A were determined by quantitative PCR using RNA derived from nasal epithelial cells from patients with stable or exacerbated asthma and RNA derived from the lungs of mice following both acute and chronic asthma models.
