Summary:The study aims to identify the impact of investments in training and occupational safety standards on the formation of human capital in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, where the emphasis is to determine how increasing the level of education and ensuring occupational safety affect the country's economy, especially in the context of its desire to strengthen global competitiveness. One of the key factors contributing to the achievement of this goal is the formation and development of human capital, as well as ensuring high standards of labor safety. The relevance of research in the field of occupational health and safety in the oil and gas industry is due not only to increasing the safety and health of workers, but also to reducing economic losses associated with accidents and work-related injuries. The oil and gas industry plays a key role in generating budgets, export earnings, and job creation. At the same time, effective management of human capital and ensuring labor safety in this sector become priority issues affecting its stability and development. All of these factors highlight the need for continued research and innovation in the field to create a safer, more efficient and sustainable oil and gas industry. Research hypothesis: the formation and development of human capital, as well as maintaining high standards of labor safety in the oil and gas industry, help reduce economic losses, strengthening its position in the global market and increasing the level of competitiveness.
