Summary:Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication has been significantly studied in recent years due to its potential to improve intelligent transport systems (ITS), effective driving assistance and traffic safety. V2X technology has strict latency and reliability requirements. Therefore, the underlay Device-to-Device (D2D) communication of the future 5G cellular networks enables V2X to meet its requirements. This paper investigates the radio resource management (RRM) for V2X services based on D2D communication where both vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications coexist. Hence, we propose an Efficient Resources Allocation and Power Control for V2X communications (ERAPC) algorithm that aims at maximizing the sum rate for V2I users and at guaranteeing the reliability and latency requirements for V2V users. Simulation results show the promising performance of the proposed ERAPC algorithm compared with other existing methods.
