Summary: | The aim of the research is to study environmental practices of Rostov region at the present stage, to establish the main trends and regularities as well as the factors determining the regional environmental features, the justification of directions for the economic activity greening at the micro and meso-economic levels. The application of statistical methods, methods of scientific abstraction, modeling of socio-economic and environmental effects of regional environmental practices in the process of research allowed to determine the main issue-based features of environmental management of Rostov region at the current stage, as well as the socio-ecological and economic effects of unbalanced environmental management. As a result of analyzing statistical data the following is established. The total costs on environmental protection measures implementation by business entities have increased during the observation period from 5106197 thousand rubles in 2013 to 6178799 thousand rubles in 2017 (+1072602 thousand rubles). At the same time, multidirectional tendencies are noted: in the analyzed time span the costs for atmospheric air purification are reduced by 12,705 thousand rubles, the costs for wastewater collection and treatment are increased by 82,62214 thousand rubles, and for waste disposal are also increased (+290976 thousand rubles). The share of expenses for atmospheric air purification is reduced from 6.52 % in 2013 to 5.18 % in 2017 (minus 1.34 %). The share in waste disposal costs slightly varied from 26.84 % in 2013 to 26.89 % in 2017. At present, the environmental practice of Rostov region at the micro and meso-economic level is a factor destabilizing the socio-ecological and economic well-being of citizens and limiting the dynamics of socio-economic development of the region. The complex of organizational, economic, administrative and legal measures aimed at promoting efficient environmental management in the region was substantiated by authors. |
