Summary:A new species of the Oriental and Afrotropical genus Afrolimnophila is described and illustrated from the North Caucasus. Thus, the genus is recorded from the European part of Russia (Krasnodar Territory, Krasnaya Polyana) for the first time. Afrolimnophila subabludens sp. n. seems to be particularly similar to the endemic Azerbaijan species A. abludens (Savchenko 1971), with which it is compared.
