Summary: | Currently, the problem of increasing resource, durability and improving technical characteristics is urgent for bellows expansion joints, which are widely used in various branches of technology, such as nuclear power, shipbuilding, mining engineering, etc. This problem can be effectively solved through the use of organofluorine coatings such as epilams, and of appropriate bellows modification technologies. To assess the of such nanocoatings and modification technologies results, the authors of the article develop a physico-mathematical model of bellows expansion joints functioning, based on the analysis of the mechanisms of fatigue failure and wear, such as Rebinder effect and fretting friction. The authors established the relationship between the model parameters and various technologies for bellows expansion joints manufacturing. The developed model makes it possible to evaluate existing and promising technologies for manufacturing bellows expansion joints, as well as to formulate requirements for increasing the bellows expansion joints performance. |
