2 complexes with the structures confirmed by means of X-ray crystallography. The obtained species have been characterized by means of elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV–VIS absorption, and EI-MS spectroscopy. The solvolysis experiments performed in dimethylsulfoxide solutions point to well pronounced stability of the investigated species.

► Schiff base derivatives of salicylic aldehyde LH react with Re(CO)
5Cl with formation of dimeric species with general formula of Re(CO)
