Summary:A comparison between experimental data for π +n → ωp and theory is made to determine whether in addition to the expected ϱ- contribution a B-meson or an absorption correction is the major secondary contribution. It was found that the B-meson gave a better description for the secondary contribution than the inclusion of absorption to the dominant ϱ-meson contribution. In both cases the ϱ-amplitudes are found to prefer no α-factors as suggeted by the Mandelstam-Wang mechanism.
