Summary:Titanium nitride coating with a thickness of 15 mm on SUS410 martensitic stainless steel substrate was produced by the dynamic ion beam mixing technique. The adhesion of titanium nitride coating on substrate was evaluated by SEBASTIAN FIVE prepared by the QUAD GROUP, and the crystallinity of titanium nitride coating was studied by x-ray diffraction. The conditions for the polarization curve measurement are described. The anodic polarization curves of SUS410 and titanium nitride coated SUS410 steels in a 0.5M H2SO4 and 0.05M KSCN solution are given.
