Summary:Prevalence of both COPD and lung cancer in patients with heroin addiction disorder was 1.1% (95% CI 2.5-5.8) whereas prevalence of heroin addiction disorder with COPD alone was 14.3% (95% CI 9.6-21.2) and with lung cancer alone was 0.3% (95% Cl 1.1-2.3).Patients with heroin addiction disorder are more at risk for lung cancer along with COPD than any other kind of SUD.
