Summary: | We treated 915 cases of skin and soft tissue injuries and post-traumatic scar of face during the past nine years from April, 1977 to March, 1986. All the cases were studied retrospectively, and only the cases, which were considered to be due to incorrect management at initial treatment, were taken up and were classified according to the types of incorrect management. The cases of incorrect management were observed in the following orders: Misorientation of wound margins 29 cases Traumatic tatoo 14 cases Subcutaneous foreign body 10 cases Incorrect management of conjunctiva 5 cases Incorrect management of mucosal membrane of nose 3 cases The forty-two cases of all were found in the area around the eyes. |
