Investigating the Modifying Properties of Interaction of Melamine and Phosphoric Acid

Summary: | For over 20 years, melamine-containing compounds have been investigated as modifiers of rubber mixes and vulcanisates of different designation. The products of interaction of hexamethoxymethylmelamine with 4,4-isopropylidenediphenol, with p-cresol, and with 2-mercaptobenzothiazole have shown themselves to be very good modifiers capable of increasing considerably the adhesion of rubbers to brass-plated metal cord both under normal test conditions and after various types of ageing. Among other things Galimova et al studies to modifying effect in breaker rubber of the product of interaction of melamine with prosphoric acid taken in threefold molar excess. |
