Summary: | We reported a case of epidural abscess following epidural block. MRI offers a correct, non-invasive and safe method for visualizing the focus, and is expected to be advantageous in the diagnosis of spinal epidural abscesses. Successful treatment was achieved with laminectomy, washing and antibiotics to the focus. As the practice of epidural block management grows, this complication may increase in frequency and it is therefore important to keep the possibility of this complication in mind. In conclusion the prevention, early diagnosis and early treatment are imperative. |
