Summary:We experienced a new born baby with very rare foot deformity, so called congenital diastasis of tibio-fibular mortise. First we tried manual correction of the diastasis and reduction of the subluxated talus. And we tried operative correction at his 7 months age, lengthened achilles tendon, released posterior capsule and corrected the diastasis by a screw. Diastasis was well corrected but slight equinus deformity remained.
