Summary:A 36 years old man, whose hips had been treated with prosthetic repracements under the diagnosis of the avascular necrosis of the both femoral head 10 years age, visited our clinic with right shoulder pain and both ankle pain. X-ray pictures showed subchondral lucent area and collapse of the head of humerus, and sclerotic change and collapse in the head of talus. Neer's prosthetic replacement for the right shoulder and total ankle replacement for the right ankle were performed. 6 months after operations, he was completely relieved from pain. On histological examinations of these resected bone, the diagnosis of the avascular necrosis were made.
