Summary:The superficial structure strengthened by laser radiation is formed in no equilibrium conditions of interaction of material with the high-concentrated energy stream. Education and development of such structure is realized on synergetic algorithm of process of phase and structural transformations. Dissipative properties of the strengthened structures can be described a complex of quantitative indices, such as amount of "dark" microstructural objects on the single surface area of a micro section and the average density of borders, calculated according to images of microstructures by means of special programs .Nature of distribution of microstructural indicators on depth of the strengthened layer depending on the modes of laser influence and their correlation with a micro hardness is shown in article.
