Summary:The Department of Sensory Sciences at Kawasaki University of Medical Welfare has implemented a method of practical simulation for use in orthoptic education. The contents of the simulation were disturbances in the input and/or integration system of the visual pathway. The evaluation point is a result of the thinking process, report and oral presentation. An advantage of this method is that students can apply the knowledge & technique, and solve the problems during experiences. We conclude that the practical simulation would be useful in orthoptic education.
