Summary:N-Substituted compounds of 5-chloro-2-benzoxazolinone and 6-chloro-2H-1, 4-benzoxazin-3-ones were synthesized and their central nervous action was examined. Three of these compounds had muscle slackening action comparable to 5-chloro-2-benzoxazolinone. The sulfonamide derivatives of N-substituted compounds were synthesized and their diuretic action was examined. Six of these compounds had such action comparable to chlorothiazide.
