Summary:The modern research is being developed just by the kinematical method, although it could hardly be done by the statical one. The author showed some examples recently developed in the field of geodesy, making use of the time signals, and explained the time service in Japan, especially the Standard Frequency and Time Signals, suggesting the application to the geographical research. The chapters are as follows : i) Observation of the solareclipse applied to the geodetic measurement beyond the ocean, ii) Observation of the occultation for geodetic application, iii) Detection of the movement of the earth-crust, iv) Utilization of the precise time for the geophysical research, v) The regular radio time signals in Japan, vi) The Standard Frequency and Time Signals.
