Summary:Abstract The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between consumption of nutrient with milk production and milk quality in dairy cow. Twenty-five dairy cows were used in this research. The dairy cows with 1-3 months of lactation were used in this research. Parameter consumption of nutrient which were used in this research was dry matter, crude protein, total digestible nutrient, calcium and phosphor. Correlation and simple linear regression were used to analyze the data. The results showed strong correlation coefficient and regression equation of consumption of nutrient with milk production (0.618 and Y = 48.675 + 3.95X), milk lactose (0.659 and Y = 6.543 + 0.63X), fat of milk (0.711 and Y = 18.809 + 1.156X) and milk protein (0.659 and Y = 5.313 + 0.579X). Consuming sufficient nutrients to meet the needs of dairy cows can optimize milk production and milk quality.
