Summary:Khan et al. (2017) [Transmuted generalized exponential distribution: A generalization of the exponential distribution with applications to survival data, Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 46:6, 4377-4398] proposed and investigated the potential usefulness distribution for analyzing lifetime data. But they made some mistakes in computing of observed information matrix and numerical evaluations. In this note, we will correct them.
