A note on the acoustic effect of non-uniformly distributed stator rows
The results of a theoretical investigation into a proposed technique for the reduction of interaction tones generated by axial flow fans are outlined. The technique, intended for faster fans (0·4≲ M eff ≲ 0·6) having similar numbers of blades and vanes, is found to be of little value.
