Thermodynamic Properties of a Copolymer of Poly(1-hydroxyimino)trimethylene and Poly(1-hydroxyimino-3-methyl)trimethylene in the Region of T → 0 to 430 K

Precision adiabatic vacuum and differential scanning calorimetry are used to study he temperature dependence of the heat capacity of a copolymer of poly(1-hydroxyimino)trimethylene and poly(1-hydroxyimino-3-methyl)trimethylene with a 23.4 mol % concentration of propane fragments in the range of 6 to...

Summary:Precision adiabatic vacuum and differential scanning calorimetry are used to study he temperature dependence of the heat capacity of a copolymer of poly(1-hydroxyimino)trimethylene and poly(1-hydroxyimino-3-methyl)trimethylene with a 23.4 mol % concentration of propane fragments in the range of 6 to 430 K. Its standard thermodynamic functions H °( T )– H °(0), S °( T )– S °(0), and G °( T )– H °(0) for the range of T → 0 to 400 K are calculated using the obtained experimental data. The thermodynamic properties of the copolymer are compared to those of a corresponding polyketone studied earlier and poly(1-hydroxyimino)trimethylene.
