Summary:A case of total, dense dural calcification in an adult female patient with secondary hyperparathroidism is presented. The often reported feature in the skull is that of a combination of osteopenia and osteosclerosis giving a granular bone texture described sometimes as "grains of sand" or "salt and pepper" appearance [6]. Extensive dural calcification with this condition has very rarely been reported [2, 3]. The purpose of this paper is to document the existence of the latter in a patient followed up for 19 years.
